Katie Talamantes is the founder and owner of Cambridge Prep Tutoring. She holds a master’s degree in education and has been working with students in various roles for over 15 years. She’s the author of an instructional book on starting a tutoring company. Cambridge Prep Tutoring is Katie’s second tutoring venture; she previously built and ran a successful tutoring company before selling it to focus on raising her two children. Katie has a passion for empowering students with the confidence and skills they need to reach their full potential.

What are your tutors' qualifications?
All Cambridge Prep tutors have an education degree and/or multiple years of teaching and tutoring experience. Additionally, they receive specialized training from child education and development experts through our program. Our tutors are not only qualified in a variety of subjects, but have a genuine heart, warmth and love of working with youth. Our goal is to not only help students succeed academically, but to have a valued mentor that can help them realize their true potential.

Do you do background checks on your tutors?
Yes. Each tutor undergoes a mandatory background check prior to joining our team.

How do you match my child with an instructor?
We carefully match each student with a tutor based on several factors, including grade level, tutoring subjects, and other pertinent information shared during registration. We handpick a tutor who has experience teaching the desired subject matter at the child’s grade level. We also do our best to match the tutor and student according to interests and personality.

What subjects do your instructors tutor?
Our instructors are K-12 qualified in all core subjects. If you’re looking for something else, just ask. We will do our best to meet your needs.

Where does the tutoring take place?
Tutoring takes place in the learning-conducive environment that is most convenient for the student. Typically this is the student’s home, nearby library, or online.

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes! We offer a 10% multi-family discount. After the first student in the family signs up with Cambridge, each additional student receives 10% off their monthly package. We also have a referral program that offers 10% off the student’s next monthly package when they refer a new student that signs up with Cambridge Prep Tutoring.

What’s your cancellation policy?
You may cancel at anytime by notifying us via email. Once your current month of tutoring is complete, the tutoring sessions will no longer continue.
